The NDSUwiki is here to serve anyone that is interested in learning more about NDSU and everyone is welcome to contribute, please help us out by taking a look at Submit an Article to see how you can submit an article to be included in the wiki. The NDSUwiki will become an information source for everything relating to NDSU, this will range from buildings to people to events to traditions and much more. The NDSUwiki is a work-in-process. • NDSU was originally known as North Dakota Agricultural College. The bill establishing NDAC was signed into law on March 8, 1890; seven years after initial plans to start an agricultural college in the northern portion of the Dakota Territory.

• The official colors of North Dakota State University are Yellow and Green. The official colors were originally ratified on April 9th 1909.

• It is tradition to wear yellow to sporting events. Students are also encouraged to stand during sporting events (IE: Football), especially when any of the school songs are played. It is also customary to wear yellow on Yellow Tuesdays.

• The Bison were originally known as the Farmers in the 1890s.
